Thank God for His Benefits

We here at Landmark are truly blessed with a wonderful and gracious Saviour. We are pleased to celebrate not only the meeting of our goal for Do It Again Sunday, but the exceeding of it by almost double! As many of you know, we were praying that the Lord would meet the need of $150,000 to keep some important projects running that would have completely stopped without these funds. God came through miraculously, once again, and brought in a grand total of just over $259,500! Praise the Lord! We look forward to putting these projects into action, and allowing the Lord to use us in mighty ways for the great cause of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Miracle Offering

We would like to request your prayers for a special “Miracle Offering” to take place on Sunday, August 2, at the Landmark Baptist Church. This miracle offering is reminiscent of a similar offering taken in 1976 in which God miraculously met the financial needs of the church. Ever since, that offering has been known as the “Miracle Offering.” On August 2nd, the church has decided to do it again by having a second “Miracle Offering.” This offering is designed to meet some special needs of the Landmark Baptist Church and its ministries. The goal is set at $150,000! This would truly be a miracle to raise this amount during the summer.

This offering will be used for three projects. The first project will go to moving our radio antenna, and hopefully boost our signal power a little more than what we have now. Our radio signal area has not been as good as it used to be for some time now. We were leasing space on a radio tower until the owners decided to dismantle the tower. We then got authorization to place an antenna on the top of our college building on a temporary basis. We now have the opportunity to get on another tower, but this tower needs some work. The work can only be done by professionals and it will cost around $25,000.

The second project will be to refurbish our College’s Men’s Dorms. The Dorms have not been touched for ten years, and are in serious need of repair. We are praying the Lord will help us reach the estimated cost of $15,000 to fix-up these dorms, so that they can be used to house students as they study, and prepare for the ministry.

Our last project is the task of completing our new Gym at the High School. Due to some unforeseen restraints, we have been unable to complete the Gym as originally planned. We have been able to complete the concrete foundation, but are needing to get the walls up. Our first step is to build a metal frame for the building that will look much like our Pavilion out at the camp. Once that is in place we can work on placing the walls up. This first phase of raising the metal structure will cost us $110,000.

As you can see, the great cause of our Saviour creates a great need. Please pray and partner with us to make this goal happen. We are excited to see how the Lord will provide the funds necessary to help us meet this great challenge.
