The last Sunday of this month, January 31st, Landmark Baptist Church will celebrate the beginning of my parents’ 40th year of ministry in Haines City. My father and mother came to this town in December of 1970. My father’s first Sunday as pastor, there were 37 people in attendance. Last year on Anniversary Sunday, there were 4,142 in attendance.
Someone recently asked me how a pastor could stay in one place for so long. I answered by saying that I did not know, but that, by the grace of God, my parents have helped people and dealt with them honestly. The Bible says that you reap what you sow, and the harvest that God has given my parents is a testimony to this truth. My dad is not perfect, yet after almost 40 years, he has nothing to run from or skip town over.
In I Thessalonians 2:1, Paul says to the Christians in that church, “For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:” By the Grace of God, my parents have a testimony of ministry that brings glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to ask all of our members and friends to join us as we celebrate my parents’ 39th anniversary this Sunday at Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City.

Round Up Sunday is always a great time, and this year was no exception! We had a wonderful time enjoying our western-themed Sunday. Most of our folks dressed up in their western duds, and we got quite a few good shots of ‘em. We encourage you to take the tame to gander at our photo gallery and see what great fun we had! If you missed it this year – make sure you won’t be a stray calf next Round Up Sunday!
Howdy partner! We hope all you buckaroos and cowgirls are ready to rustle up your gear for Round Up Sunday! This November the eighth dust off all your western duds for a rootin’ tootin’ time out at the ole Landmark Corral. We will be kicking back and relaxing to some great ole fashioned preaching and singing at meeting time 10 AM. So pony up, grab your lasso and help us round up a few strays for this years Round Up Sunday.
Starting November 7th is a new round of Senior Patriots! We encourage all senior citizens to join in a great program designed specifically for them. This years program includes great food, exciting entertainment, and challenging preaching from the Word of God. Special trip opportunities will be announced throughout the year as well. The meetings start each Saturday morning at 10 AM and are located in the Landmark Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall. So join Senior Patriots for your dosage of the three M’s - a great Meal, soul stirring Music, and a Message from God’s Word!
I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…Thine eyes did see my substance ….How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them.” Since 1973’s Roe vs. Wade decision every year there are 1.37 million children in the United States alone that are not given the privilege to live, and to read this precious thought from God’s Holy Word. We invite you to come and stand with us Sunday October 4TH from 2 – 3 pm as we peacefully proclaim the truth that abortion takes 37,000 innocent lives per day. We will be gathering on US Hwy 27 in front of Badcock Home Furnishings, and S & S Tire. Signs will be available at both locations. We encourage you to come stand with us as we peacefully protest the murder of the unborn.
Have you been trying to find a good place to retire? Perhaps you have never heard of the Landmark Baptist Retirement Village. We invite you to come relax in our quiet, gated community. You will enjoy the fellowship of many other Christians that live here. This beautiful village was designed for retirees, however, it is not limited to them only. There are 78 homes, each with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. All homes are re-sales. The village has its own chapel, which is used for community activities as well as a weekly Bible study. The village is also just one block from Landmark Baptist Church! You can find more information here.
